Les Miserables

OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, OUR WORKSHOP AND AUDITIONS WILL BE TAKING PLACE IN ZOOM.
 
Due to the recent emergence of the highly contagious Omicron variant, Arts & Learning will be requiring weekly testing for all students, faculty, and staff, beginning with callbacks on January 10.

Casting all principal and supporting roles, ages 13 – 18.
Seeking 8 – 12 year olds for the following roles ONLY:
Young Cosette/Young Eponine Gavroche

Please prepare 16 – 32 bars (1 – 2 minutes) of a musical theatre song in the style of the show.
Performers may sing from the show, but a song from a different show is preferred.
BRING A MUSIC TRACK — NO ACCOMPANIST WILL BE PROVIDED!
We will have a Bluetooth speaker available. Please note that Wifi at our studio can be unreliable, so your track MUST be downloaded to your device. No streaming from YouTube, Spotify, etc.!
Once you have registered for the production and audition scheduling opens, information will be sent to the email associated with your registration account.

Cast rehearsals will be scheduled every Monday & Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00pm and every Saturday
from 10:00am – 1:00pm. There will be THREE extended Saturday rehearsals from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Workshop

Thursday January 6th, 6:00pm-7:30pm

We highly suggest our Audition Workshops to interested students to help them prepare for the official audition. It is recommended, but not required, to register for the workshop. It will help to familiarize with the material and build confidence and skills for any audition.

ALC audition workshops empower participants to audition for any theater opportunity with confidence by strengthening techniques in acting, dancing and singing. Preview songs and show highlights, learn about the characters, and get valuable tips to help you ace your audition! Participants will learn performance readiness skills, by practicing and understanding the process of a musical theater audition. Industry professionals help aspiring performers gain self-confidence by giving participants the tools they need for success, including what to expect in an audition, how to connect with the material and how to understand and take direction.
