ALC auditions are exciting, challenging, professional and rewarding! Participants are asked to sing a prepared song, act using provided sides, and learn a dance number, so that our team knows how to use each child’s skillset appropriately. We highly suggest our Audition Workshops to interested students to help them prepare for the official audition. Every student is valued.
All students will be cast.
All cast members must be registered with ALC for the current season by the day of the audition with the following completed in advance:
You may be asked to do “cold reads” from a given script. The characters have a variety of voices and accents, so you are encouraged to experiment and have fun at auditions.
Come prepared with a song, along with a track to play or sheet music (if applicable). It is suggested to select a song that is in a similar style to the musical for which the audition is being performed. Acapella auditions are not permitted.
You will be asked about your experience and taught a dance to perform at the audition.
