My Story

Andy Robles is the Executive Director of Simon Scholars, a youth leadership and scholarship
program based out of Newport Beach.

Andy graduated from CSU San Bernardino with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to earn an MBA from the University of Redlands in 2009. As the first in his family to obtain a college degree, Andy's journey has not only been about personal achievement but also about breaking barriers and setting an example for future generations.

Andy’s career began in the nonprofit sector, initially serving as a job developer for Goodwill Industries. In 2008, he transitioned into a role as an elementary school teacher. In 2012, Andy joined Simon Scholars as a program coordinator and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Director of Programs. In 2017, he accepted an opportunity in the Bay Area, where he focused on building successful academic support programs for underserved students.

Upon his return to Simon Scholars as Executive Director in 2022, Andy drove the creation of the inaugural Alumni chapter and introduced an added emphasis on workforce readiness. He remains committed to transforming the lives of students through education. Andy and his wife Shannon have been married for 18 years, and they have one son who shares Andy’s passion for music.
