BOBBY BLOOM

Bobby Bloom was named the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Newair, April 3, 2023. Prior to his appointment he spent the previous three years as the Chief Commercial Officer where he doubled sales and implemented new product development as a core discipline of the business.  

 

Bobby’s career experience and expertise is as a leading brand marketer and a successful general manager. Early in his career he was a key member of the DEWALT Power Tools and Accessory team and helped propel them from $100 million in sales to nearly $2 billion annually by the time he left. After his successful career at DEWALT in 2006, the parent company Black & Decker asked him to manage the Kwikset, Weiser Lock and Baldwin Hardware business in the national home builder channel during the largest downturn in home building history. During this challenging economy Bobby’s team increased profitability and market share through a redesign of the customer supply chain. His team was recognized by home builders such as KB Homes as an exemplary leader amongst suppliers.  

 

After a two-year stint as the Vice President of Commercial Marketing for Jacuzzi Group Worldwide, Bobby would join the world’s largest automotive supplier, Bosch. As the Sr. Vice President, and General Manager of the Automotive Aftermarket division. During his tenure Bosch would enjoy a renewed customer focus in North America and would launch hundreds of new products and develop the first ever business case for use of Oculus Rift virtual reality technology. Through the Bosch eXperience Tour virtual reality was used in the education and training of thousands of vehicle technicians across the USA and Bloom was featured in the Chicago Tribune Business Innovation section online and in print. Bobby would also serve as the first executive sponsor of the Women of Bosch group to improve the visibility and opportunities for women at this global business.  

 

In 2016 Bobby joined Decra Metal Roofing in Corona, CA where he was the CEO of this manufacturer of specialty metal roofing. He transformed the business by increasing investment in marketing and sales, manufacturing productivity, safety, and employee engagement, receiving the highest ratings for customer and employee satisfaction in the history of this 50-year-old company.  

 

Bobby graduated from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is married to Kathie, and they have one son Branden (24).
